Has the community been engaged on this project?

Yes. Bassett Unified School District has actively involved the public in this process, following both its commitment to transparency and strict legal requirements. The discussion began in 2022 through public board meetings, with multiple public board discussions and decisions held over the years.

In addition, the project has been presented to the Baldwin Park City Council and continues to be an open topic of discussion.

Community meetings were held in December 2024 and on March 18, 2025, where residents had the opportunity to share feedback.
