What is this project all about?

Bassett Unified School District is leasing the vacant lot next to the Child Development Center to generate much-needed funding to support quality education and attract new students amid declining enrollment. The project was requested by the District and School Board to bring family-friendly housing and a new public community pocket park to the site. This development will provide much needed affordable housing for local families with children while enhancing community spaces, improving the District's financial standing, and the local economy.
